When Two Worlds Collide

When thinking about American food, the first foods that come to mind for me are pizza, burgers, french fries. Lately many food companies have been hybridizing foods such as the Pretzel Dog from Auntie Anne’sThe Cronut by Dominique Ansel, and The Churro Cone by Dessert Club, ChikaLicious.

The latest hybrid that has come to my attention is the ‘Burgerizza.’ Yup…that is a Pizza and a Burger…combined into one. Can someone say foodie heaven? The ‘Burgerizza’ can be found at Turner Field, home of the Atlanta Braves.

USA Today describes the pizza as consisting of a 20-ounce beef patty, with five slices of cheddar cheese, and topped with crispy bacon, and is in between two 8-inch pepperoni pizzas.

The $26 meal is totally worth spending at a baseball game because who does not love pizza and a burger combined into one? Talk about a way to get a heart-attack though…

This is not the only crazy food at Turner Field. ‘The Everything Dog’ is also on the menu which is a foot-long hot dog, topped with fries, chili, nacho chips, beer cheese, jalapeños, popcorn, and drizzled with with Coca-Cola-infused BBQ sauce. Don’t worry, the dog is not served on just any bun, but on a pretzel bun. The price of the loaded dog is set at $15.

The reason for this ridiculously over the top menu is because the Braves are moving into a new stadium in 2017.
